The praire and the mountains meet at a place known
as Bear Butte. For countless centuries, the indiginous
people of many Nations throughout the Great Plains
have gathered here to hold council, to share in sacred
ceremonies, and to go on vision quests.
One night photographer, David Henry, framed Bear Butte
with his camera trained on the North Star. Six hours
later, time-lapse photography reveals for us a visual
glimpse of a mystical nature felt by sojourners in
search of universal truths down through the ages.
